Subnet was founded in 2024 at the intersection of fashion imagery, generative systems, and production infrastructure. After fifteen years across fashion photography, VFX, and digital art, the studio's founder concluded that the photoshoot model had stopped scaling for the brands that needed it most.
Subnet now operates production systems for fashion houses across South Africa, Europe, and the US. The studio works with a select number of brands at any time, building bespoke pipelines calibrated to each house.

Fashion brands spend enormous resources coordinating photoshoots — models, photographers, studios, stylists, post-production. For brands launching frequently, this model doesn't scale.
We replace the majority of that overhead with AI systems trained specifically on each brand's visual identity. The result is consistent, high-quality on-model imagery delivered on a predictable monthly cadence.
